How to write

Use the form. It reaches the people who work on these applications, and a written account of your position produces a far better first answer than a call spent reconstructing the same facts.

Replies go out in order of receipt. Anything with a deadline — an expiring certificate, an agent waiting on instruction — belongs in the first line.

What helps in a first message

• Your nationality or nationalities and current country of residence.
• Whether the application covers you alone or a family, with children's ages, since that sets the contribution tier.
• Every country you have lived in for six months or more in the past decade — each usually means its own police clearance, and the slowest one sets your lodging date.
• How the funds arose and what records support it. This decides more applications than anything else.
• Anything adverse anywhere: an old conviction, a refused visa, an open matter, a prior application to another programme. Screening finds all of it; raised early, most of it is workable.

Not through the form

Passport scans, bank statements, card details, account credentials. None are needed to answer a question and a web form is the wrong channel for any of them.

Handling

Enquiries are confidential and used only to reply. Nothing is sold, shared with advertisers or passed on for marketing. Retention and deletion are covered in the privacy policy.

An automated filter screens submissions and is occasionally wrong. Silence past a few working days is worth a second attempt, worded differently.

Possibly already answered

These pages cover most of what arrives by email, at greater length: the document pack, what gets files returned, who may apply and what it costs.

What no reply will contain is an assurance of approval. That rests with the Citizenship Commission, and any promise otherwise comes from someone who cannot keep it.
